The Intralogistics Challenge in Automotive Parts Manufacturing
A typical characteristic of the automotive parts industry is widely distributed production lines with tightly connected processes. In the past, this large auto parts factory relied heavily on manual material handling. As production volumes increased, labor pressure intensified, and issues such as delayed deliveries and material accumulation frequently occurred during peak hours, directly limiting overall capacity output.
Deploying AMR Robots for Flexible Line-Side Delivery
After evaluating multiple solutions, the factory chose to deploy Reeman Big Dog AMR material handling robots with a 100 kg payload configuration. The goal was to build a flexible, production-line-oriented delivery system. Based on production instructions, the robots automatically shuttle between the warehouse and workstations, enabling standardized point-to-point delivery while significantly reducing human intervention.
Stable Navigation in Complex and Dynamic Environments
Reeman Big Dog AMR adopts multi-sensor fusion perception technology, providing stable autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance in complex environments. Even in narrow aisles or high-frequency human–robot mixed zones, the robot maintains smooth and reliable operation.
By integrating with automatic doors and elevator control systems, the robot can independently complete cross-zone and cross-floor transportation, effectively breaking traditional logistics boundaries inside the factory.
One-Click Operation Enables “Materials Find People”
From an operational perspective, production line workers do not need to learn complex systems. With a simple one-click remote call, required materials are delivered promptly to the workstation. This truly realizes a “materials find people” production model, improving response speed and making production rhythms more predictable and controllable.
Scalable Manufacturing Delivers Competitive Cost Advantages
As a mature AMR manufacturer, Reeman maintains one of the highest annual shipment volumes in the industry. Its products are widely deployed across automotive parts, electronics, and equipment manufacturing sectors.
Large-scale delivery allows Reeman to keep high-performance AMR robots within a highly competitive cost range. The price of a single robot is roughly equivalent to two smartphones, yet it can replace multi-shift manual handling. Over time, the return on investment becomes clearly visible and sustainable.
