A plush toy manufacturer, renowned for its innovative and high-quality toy products, recently faced a significant challenge in internal logistics costs and introduced Reeman AMR robots to optimize their transportation process.
Challenges
The primary task for the company was to reduce internal transportation costs. The factory, spanning 6000 square meters with over 400 employees, had been using outdated AGV carts with limited capacity for transporting finished products from the production line to the warehouse. These carts were disorderly on the busy transport routes and frequently caused safety incidents due to their inability to recognize people and obstacles.
Solution
The Big Dog transport robot can safely operate in dynamic environments, equipped with a 3D camera and a single-line LiDAR to detect people and machines, stopping or bypassing employees and obstacles. After market research, the toy manufacturing company chose RuiMan’s Big Dog transport robot because its load capacities of 100kg and 300kg perfectly suited their handling needs. Its efficient performance in autonomous obstacle avoidance, elevator use, and electric door control also promised significant labor cost savings.
Implementation Process
Before the project started, we conducted a detailed needs analysis with the company. Based on the requirement for cross-floor material distribution in the factory, we equipped them with three AMR transport robots and installed elevator control modules to facilitate automatic elevator use by the robots. Throughout the process, we maintained close communication with the client, ensuring each step received their approval and understanding.
Results and Benefits
After introducing the transport robots, the company’s production efficiency significantly improved, with faster transport speeds and shorter production cycles. Labor costs decreased, and the risk of injuries during the transport process was reduced. Through this automation solution, the company successfully optimized its toy production process, enhancing both competitiveness and production efficiency. Their case demonstrates the vital role of transport robots in modern manufacturing, with more companies expected to adopt similar automation solutions in the future.
