Heavy-Duty Logistics Automation in LED Industrial Lighting

Heavy-Duty Logistics as a Critical Efficiency Factor

In LED industrial lighting manufacturing, logistics operations often involve large-volume, heavy-weight pallets and frequent material turnover. From metal structures and lighting modules to finished luminaires, stable heavy-duty logistics are essential to maintaining production continuity.

In a large Shenzhen-based LED industrial lighting warehouse, growing order volumes exposed the limitations of traditional manual forklift operations. High-frequency warehouse-to-line transport relied heavily on experienced drivers and became increasingly prone to congestion and scheduling inefficiencies during peak periods.

Introducing Reeman AMR Autonomous Forklifts

After a comprehensive evaluation, the company deployed Reeman AMR autonomous forklifts from the Hercules Series with a 1.5-ton load capacity. These forklifts were tasked with automated point-to-point delivery between the warehouse and multiple production zones.

The autonomous forklifts directly handle standard pallets, completing pickup, transport, and drop-off operations without human driving, enabling true unmanned heavy-load logistics.

Flexible Deployment Without Infrastructure Modification

Reeman AMR autonomous forklifts use autonomous navigation and do not require magnetic strips or floor reconstruction. They quickly integrated into the existing warehouse layout and adapted to aisles with varying widths.

In environments where forklifts and personnel operate simultaneously, the robots detect obstacles in real time and perform dynamic avoidance, ensuring smooth and safe operation without disrupting daily production activities.

Enhancing Throughput and Logistics Visibility

With automated point-to-point transport, logistics paths between the warehouse and production lines became more transparent and controllable. Tasks are dispatched by the system based on production plans, reducing manual coordination and idle waiting time.

Multiple autonomous forklifts operate under centralized scheduling, minimizing congestion and eliminating unnecessary empty runs that are common in manual operations.

Measurable Benefits After Deployment

Following implementation, the LED industrial lighting warehouse significantly improved heavy-load material handling efficiency without increasing labor. Safety levels and on-site orderliness improved in parallel.

With strong load capacity, stable navigation, and continuous operation capability, Reeman AMR autonomous forklifts have become a core component of the company’s smart logistics upgrade.
