An automotive manufacturer in India was facing increasing production demands and complex internal logistics challenges. For this company, delivering automotive components to the processing area or retrieving materials from the warehouse had always been a cumbersome task. The factory supervisor mentioned,“The most cumbersome task in the factory is internal delivery, especially with multiple bends between the assembly area and the warehouse,as well as the need for multi-floor distribution.”
To address this issue, the company decided to explore new technologies and introduced Reeman delivery robots. During deployment, there was no need to alter the physical environment of the factory. These delivery robots were utilized to move components from the supply area to the production line, as well as to delivery finished products from the production line to the warehouse or shipping area.
Throughout the entire delivery process, employees did not need to intervene manually; all operations could be remotely controlled via a smartphone app. Additionally, if any modifications to the robot’s tasks were required, such as fine-tuning the layout, all such changes could be easily accomplished by employees.
Following the introduction of delivery robots, the Indian automotive manufacturer’s factory experienced a significant increase in production efficiency and a reduction in production cycles, enabling faster response to market demands. Simultaneously, internal logistics processes became smoother, reducing errors and delays caused by material handling and sorting.
